13th-Dec-2013 10:37 pm - Hi all!
Woo! First post!!!! Hello all!
I am LF people in Zuluhed?!?!?! I'm only a level 25...(don't hate.) However this isn't my first time playing wow! obviously not my last...I was once a shining level 70 Druid Tauren. had everything! gold, weapons, and a sweet and caring Kodo to ride to and from town. Until the alliance came along...Jk! I stopped playing back at the lich king. Got caught up in Civ and D3 and such. Guess who's back!?!?!?! time to wrap that mouse cord around my arm and shoot up again. Who's with me?!?! Things have changed game wise. You forget things. Time to move on with the bio.

I'm 23 years of age. Let the rumors cease here. I am NOT in or around my parents basement. I am located in the US of A. Sunny Florida. I usually play weekends...Jobs...am i right? Why'd i go to college for business management end up a tailor and miner, don't ask me. I'm a social nut. So that's why right now i sit at 0 yes 0 friends. I feel like the stereotypical girl saying "they only want me for my body". it's true. I don't want to be a number. I want to run a guild. Someday i will have the best elite staff! one who plays odd amount of days and another who does so. i just manage it. we'll get there!

^ see idk where that went...social nut..guilty..back to the bio. Here's a kicker, I like to play sports. I lift weights and own a toy poodle.<{kicker} so yea..wow isn't my life, but i can make it a fun experience hopefully. we can have our ups and downs and drama. Nothing like going on a raid and hearing about so and so while killing the alliance.(sorry) FOR THE HORDE!

time to draw to an end. this was fun. hopefully it comes to something now and not an idiot badgering on a post. Good Luck all!

I've been playing for about 3 months now, healing on a PvE server and currently lvl80. A friend who has been playing wow since it came out invited me.
My friend is on a PvP server(bleeding hollow), and he invited me to create a new character on his server, even offering to carry me through the game. My
problem is, this friend, although usually very friendly and helpful, sometimes teases me for being a noob. I want to play on this server with my friend, and make some new friends in-game, butI'm usually quite squishy/shy/timid. It took some courage for me to start queing for dungeons, and to post here. All the acronyms and rules I don't understand seem overwhelming. The server community seems unfriendly and intimidating (however, i'm not afriad of being constantly ganked or 1-shotted). I couldn't find any other noobs like me on this server, and i'm afraid of being pointed out for bad gaming skills and generally being "nooby". I know i probably shouldn't be playing this game if i'm this shy, but i generally really enjoy it :)
So, can someone please introduce me to a guild or some friends on Bleeding Hollow who are equally "nooby" or willing to help un-noob me?
I'd be very thankful for any help and advice X)

I'm a little anxious about posting this, but hello wow_noobs! I'm not exactly a new player, I started playing last August and played for almost a year, but I stopped playing around May and now I'm missing WoW. I do want to come back, but I'm looking for a change of scenery, in a sense.
My main is a lvl. 85 Night Elf Druid (Balance) on Hellscream-US. I'd link to armory but I've been gone long enough that the link is shot. :/ I'm part of a guild atm, but I'm not sure they're the best fit for me.

I'm looking for a women/LGBT-friendly, social/casual guild in which to find some like-minded friends. Playing solo is fun and all, but despite being kind of shy, I do really enjoy the social aspect. I may make occasional noob mistakes/ask a lot of nooby questions, but I do my best to do my research and generally not annoy people. Fun events and goofing off occasionally are a plus. :D

I also play casually-- I'm a student involved on campus, so those things take priority-- and I like to focus on questing, achievements, as well as exploring and occasionally goofing off. While I have some interest in more serious raiding/PvE and RP, I feel like they're both things I might try once I have a little more experience and knowledge.

Ideally for money reasons I'd like to stay on my server, but I'm willing to pay for a server change. Not as keen on changing faction though, but that's more for sentimental reasons. (Night Elves<3)

Any thoughts or suggestions for me? Thank you for helping this poor newb out :)

Hello lovely Wowians?
My friend and I have recently started a casual guild on Mal’Ganis. We hope to grow enough so that we can PvE (including dungeons/raids) and PvP (arenas/rbgs). I REPEAT THIS IS ALL CASUAL WE WANT WoW TO BE FUN AGAIN. I couldn't help but notice this awesome site, and I thought to myself HOW PERFECT! We are looking for players who are relatively new (and old) doesn't really matter to join our very new guild. Problem is, not many people are very excited about joining a level 3 guild. So we figured we’d try you out! While we cannot offer many guild perks right away, we are offering our own little perks to (sort of) make up for it. For example, the first six guildies to sign up will be put on a list for the ICC Invincible mount. We will also be doing old raids, and if you join we will focus on getting the mounts from ICC, DS, Firelands and possibly Ulduar. Another fun perk is once we get enough money there will be free repairs for everyone :) If you are interested, please contact me on this post or you can send in game mail or whisper Ventarja... you could also try my battle tag Domi#1349. Happy WoWing everyone :)

Hey, I'm a relatively new WoW player and I was wondering if there were any suggestions for how I could up my DPS? I'm a 60 lvl Hunter and while I don't really have any basis for comparison, I feel like my DPS is a bit low.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/proudmoore/Florinda/simple <- The link to my armory.

Also, if any of you could suggest macros for a hunter, I'd really appreciate it. Though, if it would be possible, ones that don't require changing every dungeon would probably work best for me since I do a lot of lfd dungeons and it could be a bit of an issue since sometimes the groups I end up in are the 'Gogogo!' type.

EDIT: I should probably also add that I play BM Hunter - rarely, if ever, play the Survival spec.
I know its a long shot, but I'm fairly anxious to find a good home for my toons.  In a round about way I ended up on Mug'thol.  I'm way under geared and under experienced in current content but I really miss raiding.  My current schedule would allow for raiding during the daytime hours 9am-4:30pm or in the evening after 9pm.  Currently Horde side, but would be willing to faction change as well.  I may even consider another server change, as I miss having a good guild that badly.  I'm would even interested in finding a guild to call home now to raid in future expansions.  My old guild fell apart early in Cataclysm and it took me awhile to get back into the game after that.  In my previous life I was a dedicated raider and always did my best to be prepared and early for raid nights.  Along with my arcane mage, I also have a feral/balance druid who is lvl capped, but is more severely under geared.  My druid was my previous raid toon so I am more than comfortable stepping back into a druid role as well.  I have raided in all specs as a druid, so any role would suffice.  I'm a bit of an altoholic, and would love to bring my baby toons into a guild as well.  I have a prot pally that is at 86 and slowly making her way towards 90.

28th-Oct-2012 12:04 pm - Howdy!
I'm fairly new to the game (within the month) and I'm slowly finding myself getting addicted. Seriously.. what's with the nightmares of attacking skeletons transporting me to levels I'm not ready for, brain?!

Anyway.. I hit a bit of a wall last night, and I'm hoping someone might have an answer - I've got a Tauren who just hit level 11 -- pretty much I ran through all the Thunder Bluff-related challenges, then found myself at Orgimmar, with a last mission to head into the rift and report to a guard. Problem is, there's no guard by that name.

Between TomTom insisting I was in the right place (I've had a few errors with things not where it says they are) and WowHead - where I see that someone else is looking for the same person - it seems the last patch spirited the target away, so clearly there's no way to finish the challenge and find my next location.

So, my question is: Does anyone know what the next set of challenges for the Tauren is? (For example, I know that my Blood Elf is next to report to the Ghostlands, after finishing in the woods) Or is there a webpage/community that will help a poor hopeless NOOB find this out?

Thank you!

(I may have over-tagged. If I grabbed one by mistake, or missed one entirely, I apologize.)
5th-May-2012 10:31 am - Concerned

So I'm not exactly new to world of warcraft but I am just starting back. It's been a long time since I played and I recently got a BE Pally Ret to level 75. Truth is only type I've ever created is a Pally back when I first started playing and even then I didn't do dungeons with random people. I did them with friends.

I tried tanking when I was level 15 for the first time and considering I haven't been played in a while (Since before WOTLK) I wasn't that great. ALOT has changed and needless to say I was chewed out pretty bad to the point I avoided dungeons for a while. I settled into a Ret pally and started DPS. I'm not that great and trying to get better. I'm terrified to try any other class because if I got chewed out at level 15 I imagine it gets alot worse later on. And whats worse is my wife joined and wasn't too pleased about her first experience. I have ALOT of questions because there is so little I know now a days. If someone wouldn't mind taking me under their wing for a bit in wow to help me out I would very much appreciate it.
8th-Feb-2012 09:42 pm - Hello all
I am not really new to the game, but I am having a hard time with this one quest. I am a lvl 25 Blood Elf Warlock, and I am stuck due to the fact that no one is trying the quest at the same time I am. I am currently in the Ghostlands doing the Traitor's Destruction quest. I play on the Bladefist server and well, the Ghostlands are pretty dead as far as players are concerned. I was wondering if it would be worth it to keep this quest in mind, or try just skip it all together? Any advice or help would be greatly accepted.

elf dk [2] [head to hands]
Hey all. I'm not completely new to WoW (I've leveled a Pally and partially leveled a few others), but I am new to Death Knights. I'm really enjoying the class but I have a few questions about DPS rotation, PvP, and professions. I've tried looking through the tags but I don't think I saw these answered.

Under hereCollapse )

I would really appreciate any advice. I feel like I know next to nothing when I start a new class :P

FUNNY - Elephant Trampoline [ANI]
I was just popping over here because i am looking for a guild for my toons...I currently have a level 46 Paladin on Alliance side and i just recently started playing a Blood Elf Mage on the Horde side..currently level 8.....I also have a level 26 Hunter Night Elf on the Alliance side...All on Lethon Server.....

My Pali and Hunter are in guilds currently but i never see anyone one from the guild. I am really needing some other more active players to get to know and who would be available if help is needed. I am also willing to help out where needed as well....

I have been playing wow for awhile off and on. As some may know it's way more fun to play with friends as opposed to playing solo. When my friend's accounts went inactive i stopped playing. But i am back and really want to level and work toward achievements...

If anyone is interested let me know...I look forward to hearing from you.

I've only been playing WoW since the summer & am finally about to hit the level 20 cap for my starter account. I'm planning on upgrading to a paid account in the next few weeks or so & I would like to find a casual/social guild on the Alliance side of Silvermoon-US. Basically, I've been soloing until now & would love to find some WoW friends.

I tend to play WoW very sporadically (usually a couple nights a week for an hour or two in the late evening, sometimes more) & mostly just run about questing. I'm very much an inexperienced player, especially in terms of PVP (the last time I did Warsong Gulch, I spent the majority of the session dying, resurrecting, & dying again before I regained mana).

I'm looking for a fun, casual/social guild of friendly, respectful players who are willing to help a noob learn the game, don't mind sporadic play, & enjoy questing/achievements. I'm a bit shy IRL & online when meeting new people, so I might not be as active on chat at first. (I might eventually want to try raiding/PVP when I know what I'm doing. Possibly.)

Thank you!

27th-Aug-2011 01:27 pm - I have a random question...
'Sup? I've been playing for a year but I'm still pretty much new to a lot of aspects of this great game. I've done dungeons and heroics, not many raids, etc. etc. But the crux of this post is that I was thinking of roleplaying somewhere with my orc elemental shaman and was trying to think up of a backstory for her. Maybe this sounds weird, maybe it doesn't, but I was never much of a fan character person so I find myself really struggling to make up a proper story for her.

I read up on the orc lore (nevermind about being confused with timelines and whatnot) and I decided to have her be relatively young, around 25-27 maybe, and part of the Frostwolf Clan.

But what I can't seem to find information on is about the Blood of Mannoroth. If my sources were correct, Durotan refused to drink from it, as did his clan, and they were thus "exiled" because of it. Does this mean that orcs born into the Frostwolf Clan had no experience of internment camps? And does it mean that they were never "lethargic" or addicted to warlock magics, hence never had to experience withdrawal symptoms?

I'm thinking of placing her birth a couple of years after the Second War (or maybe during it as the timeline seems to be pretty wide for it) and maybe having one of her parents or relatives from an internment camp and having married into her family and the Frostwolf clan after being freed. But is this something unheard of in orc society or is it relatively "safe" for there to be marriages within clans?

I'm sorry if these questions seem silly because the answers to them are obvious and I just didn't see them, but I'm honestly stumped here. Thanks in advance to anybody willing to help out!

Okay! So, hi everyone. :3 I've been playing since February. Until I joined a RP guild, I had a bit of toon ADD so my main is at 79, and she's the highest level toon I've got.

I'm hoping to get her to 85 by next Friday. Any tips on Cata leveling, best way to grind, et cetera? I'm a holy priest- secondary is shadow for when I want to solo.

Also, I know dungeoning is faster for leveling, but are standard quests worth it to get reputation, et cetera?

One last thing- I fail hardcore at Argent Tournament. I just can't do it. Can someone PLEASE give me some tips? T_T
3rd-Jun-2011 07:15 am - Problems holding aggro?
Hello, wow_noobs!

I've been playing the game for about 7-8 months now and just recently started studying the game mechanics and delving into PvE roles. I currently have a lvl 60 protpally that I've been using to tank in PUG dungeons. I'm still in the learning process and things have been going along pretty smoothly. However, recently, I've been running into the problem with not holding aggro when it comes to playing with the occasional "overgeared" players. Since this toon is currently my highest and first one (I had to start over on a different server), I can't really afford to twink out my baby tank with heirlooms and expensive armor.

I use Omen as my threat meter and it shows these certain players attracting mobs easily and ripping bosses off me as if it were nothing. I don't doubt that some of them are possibly doing it to test me but it becomes daunting to have to pull them back to me.

So basically my question is...does having better gear make the mobs more likely to attack you?

My overall average armor level is 65, I have lots of strength and stamina stacked, I even just purchased some glyphs in AH hoping that will help. Also my rotation is pull with Avenger's Shield > Hammer of the Righteous > Judgement > Consecration > Hammer of the Righteous > Shield of the Righteous > repeat.

I've been looking up and down for a solution to this problem but couldn't really find a straightfoward answer.

Thanks for the help!
