I'm a little anxious about posting this, but hello wow_noobs! I'm not exactly a new player, I started playing last August and played for almost a year, but I stopped playing around May and now I'm missing WoW. I do want to come back, but I'm looking for a change of scenery, in a sense.
My main is a lvl. 85 Night Elf Druid (Balance) on Hellscream-US. I'd link to armory but I've been gone long enough that the link is shot. :/ I'm part of a guild atm, but I'm not sure they're the best fit for me.

I'm looking for a women/LGBT-friendly, social/casual guild in which to find some like-minded friends. Playing solo is fun and all, but despite being kind of shy, I do really enjoy the social aspect. I may make occasional noob mistakes/ask a lot of nooby questions, but I do my best to do my research and generally not annoy people. Fun events and goofing off occasionally are a plus. :D

I also play casually-- I'm a student involved on campus, so those things take priority-- and I like to focus on questing, achievements, as well as exploring and occasionally goofing off. While I have some interest in more serious raiding/PvE and RP, I feel like they're both things I might try once I have a little more experience and knowledge.

Ideally for money reasons I'd like to stay on my server, but I'm willing to pay for a server change. Not as keen on changing faction though, but that's more for sentimental reasons. (Night Elves<3)

Any thoughts or suggestions for me? Thank you for helping this poor newb out :)

I don't know much about Hellscream, sadly. You definitely should try asking this question in wow_ladies however. I'm sure you'll get a good amount of responses, but most will likely not be on your server.

The even better news is that if you're willing to wait a bit, you *may* be in luck with the virtual realms that they are very slowly introducing soon. Right now, we only know of 2 servers that will be linked, Bloodscalp and Boulderfist. This new technology will let those connected realms operate as one realm, so you can join guilds on the other and everything as if it was the same realm. Now we have no idea what other realms will be connected, and this may end up being a longer wait than you want, but it's something to consider.

You could also try making an alt in a guild on another server to see if you like that guild before moving your Night Elf. I'd definitely do that before jumping in with the money transfer.

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the virtual realms, but I think eventually I am expecting to transfer to find the kind of guild I'm looking for. Definitely will be rolling alts instead of transferring off the bat.

Do any servers come to mind that would be good to check out? I'll take a look around, and I think I'll cross-post this to wow_ladies and see what they think over there. Thanks again =)

I've always heard Proudmoore has a very LGBT-friendly community. :)

you already got directed to the wow_ladies community, but i wanted to point out that they have two guilds on us-bronzebeard: daughters of the alliance and daughters of the horde. they might be good options for you although they aren't on your current server.

Honestly, I'd recommend The Stonewall Family on Proudmoore. It's a LGBT guild [though it's open to everyone], and everyone gets along really well. People in the chat are always willing to answer questions, and are generally really good about helping out guild mates when they can.

I will warn that they do require an application and they sometimes take some time to answer.
