| Hello!
So I'm not exactly new to world of warcraft but I am just starting back. It's been a long time since I played and I recently got a BE Pally Ret to level 75. Truth is only type I've ever created is a Pally back when I first started playing and even then I didn't do dungeons with random people. I did them with friends.
I tried tanking when I was level 15 for the first time and considering I haven't been played in a while (Since before WOTLK) I wasn't that great. ALOT has changed and needless to say I was chewed out pretty bad to the point I avoided dungeons for a while. I settled into a Ret pally and started DPS. I'm not that great and trying to get better. I'm terrified to try any other class because if I got chewed out at level 15 I imagine it gets alot worse later on. And whats worse is my wife joined and wasn't too pleased about her first experience. I have ALOT of questions because there is so little I know now a days. If someone wouldn't mind taking me under their wing for a bit in wow to help me out I would very much appreciate it.

| I'm having trouble figuring out what realm to be on. I'm looking for an active laid back RP realm (preferably EST bust CST is fine) or a PVP realm that's active enough and for EST/CST I could really use some friends to play along with too
So far I'm not sure if I want to roll Horde or alliance. I played wow for around a year (but consider myself a noob since I've forgotten how to play and still need to learn) horde is most familiar but I'm curious about alliance...

| I am not really new to the game, but I am having a hard time with this one quest. I am a lvl 25 Blood Elf Warlock, and I am stuck due to the fact that no one is trying the quest at the same time I am. I am currently in the Ghostlands doing the Traitor's Destruction quest. I play on the Bladefist server and well, the Ghostlands are pretty dead as far as players are concerned. I was wondering if it would be worth it to keep this quest in mind, or try just skip it all together? Any advice or help would be greatly accepted. | |

| Hey all. I'm not completely new to WoW (I've leveled a Pally and partially leveled a few others), but I am new to Death Knights. I'm really enjoying the class but I have a few questions about DPS rotation, PvP, and professions. I've tried looking through the tags but I don't think I saw these answered. ( Under here )I would really appreciate any advice. I feel like I know next to nothing when I start a new class :P | |

| I was just popping over here because i am looking for a guild for my toons...I currently have a level 46 Paladin on Alliance side and i just recently started playing a Blood Elf Mage on the Horde side..currently level 8.....I also have a level 26 Hunter Night Elf on the Alliance side...All on Lethon Server.....
My Pali and Hunter are in guilds currently but i never see anyone one from the guild. I am really needing some other more active players to get to know and who would be available if help is needed. I am also willing to help out where needed as well....
I have been playing wow for awhile off and on. As some may know it's way more fun to play with friends as opposed to playing solo. When my friend's accounts went inactive i stopped playing. But i am back and really want to level and work toward achievements...
If anyone is interested let me know...I look forward to hearing from you. Vinnie

I've only been playing WoW since the summer & am finally about to hit the level 20 cap for my starter account. I'm planning on upgrading to a paid account in the next few weeks or so & I would like to find a casual/social guild on the Alliance side of Silvermoon-US. Basically, I've been soloing until now & would love to find some WoW friends. I tend to play WoW very sporadically (usually a couple nights a week for an hour or two in the late evening, sometimes more) & mostly just run about questing. I'm very much an inexperienced player, especially in terms of PVP (the last time I did Warsong Gulch, I spent the majority of the session dying, resurrecting, & dying again before I regained mana). I'm looking for a fun, casual/social guild of friendly, respectful players who are willing to help a noob learn the game, don't mind sporadic play, & enjoy questing/achievements. I'm a bit shy IRL & online when meeting new people, so I might not be as active on chat at first. (I might eventually want to try raiding/PVP when I know what I'm doing. Possibly.) Thank you! | 'Sup? I've been playing for a year but I'm still pretty much new to a lot of aspects of this great game. I've done dungeons and heroics, not many raids, etc. etc. But the crux of this post is that I was thinking of roleplaying somewhere with my orc elemental shaman and was trying to think up of a backstory for her. Maybe this sounds weird, maybe it doesn't, but I was never much of a fan character person so I find myself really struggling to make up a proper story for her.
I read up on the orc lore (nevermind about being confused with timelines and whatnot) and I decided to have her be relatively young, around 25-27 maybe, and part of the Frostwolf Clan.
But what I can't seem to find information on is about the Blood of Mannoroth. If my sources were correct, Durotan refused to drink from it, as did his clan, and they were thus "exiled" because of it. Does this mean that orcs born into the Frostwolf Clan had no experience of internment camps? And does it mean that they were never "lethargic" or addicted to warlock magics, hence never had to experience withdrawal symptoms?
I'm thinking of placing her birth a couple of years after the Second War (or maybe during it as the timeline seems to be pretty wide for it) and maybe having one of her parents or relatives from an internment camp and having married into her family and the Frostwolf clan after being freed. But is this something unheard of in orc society or is it relatively "safe" for there to be marriages within clans?
I'm sorry if these questions seem silly because the answers to them are obvious and I just didn't see them, but I'm honestly stumped here. Thanks in advance to anybody willing to help out!

| Okay! So, hi everyone. :3 I've been playing since February. Until I joined a RP guild, I had a bit of toon ADD so my main is at 79, and she's the highest level toon I've got.
I'm hoping to get her to 85 by next Friday. Any tips on Cata leveling, best way to grind, et cetera? I'm a holy priest- secondary is shadow for when I want to solo.
Also, I know dungeoning is faster for leveling, but are standard quests worth it to get reputation, et cetera?
One last thing- I fail hardcore at Argent Tournament. I just can't do it. Can someone PLEASE give me some tips? T_T

| Hello, wow_noobs!
I've been playing the game for about 7-8 months now and just recently started studying the game mechanics and delving into PvE roles. I currently have a lvl 60 protpally that I've been using to tank in PUG dungeons. I'm still in the learning process and things have been going along pretty smoothly. However, recently, I've been running into the problem with not holding aggro when it comes to playing with the occasional "overgeared" players. Since this toon is currently my highest and first one (I had to start over on a different server), I can't really afford to twink out my baby tank with heirlooms and expensive armor.
I use Omen as my threat meter and it shows these certain players attracting mobs easily and ripping bosses off me as if it were nothing. I don't doubt that some of them are possibly doing it to test me but it becomes daunting to have to pull them back to me. So basically my question is...does having better gear make the mobs more likely to attack you?
My overall average armor level is 65, I have lots of strength and stamina stacked, I even just purchased some glyphs in AH hoping that will help. Also my rotation is pull with Avenger's Shield > Hammer of the Righteous > Judgement > Consecration > Hammer of the Righteous > Shield of the Righteous > repeat.
I've been looking up and down for a solution to this problem but couldn't really find a straightfoward answer.
Thanks for the help! | |

| hi wow_noobs community members.... we haven't had an active mod for a while, so i messaged the community founders who then promoted me. i log onto lj regularly and read all the posts, so i should notice pretty quickly if there's any spam or other unseemly behaviour. i don't anticipate anything though since we've gone six months without anything happening. thanks for being such a great group of people! i also added a future dated post that will stay at the top of the community page in case anyone needs to report anything or get in touch with me ASAP. all comments on that post are screened so nobody else will see what you write. thanks all! edit: since i'm unable to keep a future dated post at the top of the community entries list, i just added in a description on the recent entries page that links to that particular post instead. the post still has screened commenting so it can be used for its original purpose. the description may not show up if you have "view in own style" check marked in your navigation bar. | |

| So, on whim, I've decided to pick up my druid again, but I really don't have any idea how to play her now that Cata has come and such. XD
Basically, I need a 'Guide to Dummies' for druids - something that is up to date and not overly complex (like Elitist Jerks.)
She's resto/feral, so I'll need suggestions for both specs.
Thanks in advance! | |

| Hey all. I'm pretty new to WoW, started about a month ago. I just recently began leveling a Protadin so that I could tank when I do instances with friends. I've only done them before as DPS on my Undead Rogue, and I did my first as a (lvl 18) tank today. We got through it in one run, I wasn't awful, but.. I obviously wasn't great, either :P Does anyone have any tips for being a good tank? I'm already reading the post over at wow_ladies about helpful addons for tanks and I've researched speccing as well, but I'd really appreciate any other tips you can offer. Thanks! | |

| Hi!
I just started playing a few days ago and am running into a bit of trouble with the quests--not completing them, but rearranging them.
I have 13 ongoing currently, and some of them I'm not going to be able to get to for a while, but of course those are the ones nearest to the top, meaning I have to go into the menu every time to find the ones that I am completing.
Is there any way to shift things around so the quests I want show up on the screen?

| If I have gold out the wazoo, whats to keep me from changing my Alch specialization from transmute to potion and back every other day (namely to potion every Tuesday morning so I can make enough volcanics to raid for the week, then switch back to transmute) if I'm willing to eat the cost?
Does the 150g transfer fee go up and scale with each additional specialty change? Do cooldowns or procs get penalized in any way?
